Volevo ringraziare tutti voi, in paricolare Adrian, Philip e Marc. Grazie a Wall Street Institute ho superato il TOEIC con 850 punti. Davvero un ottimo risultato per me! Imparare l'inglese è stato anche divertente perché i colloqui regolari con insegnanti madrelingua sono parte del metodo (ho fatto 92 encounter da maggio dell'anno scorso a marzo di quest'anno).

Ora ho intenzione di cercare un nuovo lavoro che mi permetta di sfruttare l'inglese ma nel frattempo mi terrò allenato con riviste in lingua, DVD, libri in inglese… insomma l'inglese oggi è diventato davvero parte della mia vita!

Ho sempre avuto difficoltà nell’imparare le lingue a scuola, l’inglese in particolare. Non riuscivo a memorizzare le regole grammaticali, il vocabolario e soprattutto facevo confusione per tutte le eccezioni che ci sono in inglese. Per questo, non esercitandomi mai a parlare o a scrivere per paura di sbagliare, non riuscivo a migliorare e prendevo solo brutti voti e alla fine ho abbandonato l’inglese.

In seguito mi sono resa conto che sapere l’inglese è necessario per il lavoro, quindi, benché con un po’ di scetticismo, mi sono affidata metodo Wall Street Institute, che mi pareva il più adatto per me. Dal primo giorno si parla solo inglese, anche con me che ero al livello Waystage 1. Anche se facevo molti errori nessuno mi rimproverava, anzi, ricevevo moltissimi input utili, consigli che generalmente non si trovano sulle grammatiche. Esercitandomi costantemente sono diventata sempre più sicura e dopo 7 mesi di corso ho provato a fare l’esame IELTS per ottenere il punteggio necessario per accedere alle università britanniche. Ho persino superato il punteggio minimo richiesto!

Nei mesi successivi ho completato il livello Mastery: i miei tutor mi hanno anche aiutato a scrivere una lettera di candidatur per un corso universitario. E mi hanno preso!

Ma non pensate che studiare sia un supplizio: non dovrete passare ore sui libri perché il metodo si basa sulla conversazione, sulle attività sociali e sugli incontri extra-scolastici (bowling, pub etc.) dove si può parlare senza nessuna pressione, migliorando il proprio livello in maniera naturale. Imparare divertendosi è il motto!

Se qualcuno ora mi chiede consigli su dove poter studiare inglese io non dubbi: “Il Wall Street Institute è quello che fa per te!”.

Credo che vi ricordiate di me. Ho fatto un corso WalI Street e ho terminato con il livello Upper Waystage. Ora, con voi, posso davvero dire di aver imparato l'inglese. In febbraio ho fatto un viaggio in Eritrea e ho notato come dopo il vostro corso il mio inglese era migliorato. In Eritrea si parla principalmente italiano e inglese e io riuscivo a parlare in inglese con la popolazione locale di diversi argomenti. "I love learning foreign languages, especially English. For me English means music, travelling, business and so on. If I'm not mistaken I have been learning English for more than ten years. As you probably know learning English at school and during my study often meant learning lists of vocabulary or practicing grammar rules by reading them and solving stupid exercises. But what about speaking and taking part in everyday conversations? So I was looking for something completely different from what I knew. One day my boyfriend told me about the Wall Street Institute. He convinced me to have a detailed look at Wall Street Institute here in Berlin and here I am! I started improving my English two years ago. This was the best choice I could ever have made. "My name is Robert, I am 24 years old and I have lived in Hamburg for the last seven years. I was born in Hamburg but was lucky enough to return seven years ago.

But this is not about my story, this is about the Wall Street Institute and the reasons why I would recommend studying English there.

In my opinion this place is the best place in Hamburg to learn English as a foreign language.

My way to Wall Street Institute led me past a few other possibilities of learning the English language. I compared different institutes and did the classification tests to check my present English skills. Nearly all institutes just tested me by having me talk to one of their teachers for about 30 minutes and afterwards deciding which level to put me in. That didn’t convince me! In my mind you have to feel the professionalism just to trust the whole contract.

The other thing was the opening times and the flexibility. Nearly all of the other institutes had fixed days and times for their classes. In my point of view it is not bad to have a fixed weekly schedule to plan with. But for people who want to learn as much as possible in just a short period of time, like I did, it is too little. I wanted to be the person who decides when to come and how long to study each day.

So I ended up at Wall Street Institute and right after my first week I knew that my decision was right and the school was worth the money.
I liked how I was treated as a guest at the institute and as a party to a contract.

Learning English at Wall Street Institute is a very easy thing. My main reason for learning English at Wall Street Institute is: Learning is great fun in that community. I enjoyed it very much and finally I reached my goal with joy and not with stress."
